All of the participants are taught by knowledgable golf instructors certified in delivering The First Tee Life Skills experience along with professional golf instruction. Not everyone that helps out with the program must be a knowledgable golf instructor, volunteers are great as mentors and organizational assistants. To find out how you can help as a volunteer or instructor please contact us.

The First Tee Life Skills Experience

The First Tee Life Skills Experience is one of the unique features that differentiates The First Tee from many other successful junior golf programs.  Through the Life Skills Experience, participants learn valuable lessons about the importance of maintaining a positive attitude; how to make decisions by thinking about the possible consequences and how to define and set goals from the golf course to everyday life.
The First Tee Certification Process

The First Tee wants everyone who completes The First Tee Experience to have acquired basic golf skills and to be able to demonstrate certain fundamental life skill concepts – such as interpersonal communication and the importance of rules and etiquette.
